Do you have to stay cheap in order to stay booked?

Can you charge $3,000 for a session in Central Texas, or is that a fantasy? How do you balance doing work you love with actually paying your bills from it?

If you've ever wanted to raise your prices but didn't know how to do it without losing clients, this dinner is for you.

We're gathering 12 photographers around a table at Temple Star Studios to talk openly about the one thing most of us avoid talking about: money.

How much are you charging? How much should you be charging? What happened the last time you raised your rates? What would you do differently?

The goal is simple. Show up, eat well, and leave with real ideas you can use to make more money doing what you already do.

Included in Your Ticket:

  • A hearty spread of bites and delights.
  • 4 glasses of hand-picked Texas wines. (Beer for those who wish.)
  • A dessert that even your grandma would approve of.
  • A long, honest conversation with 12 photographers you'd probably never meet otherwise.

(Actual photos of the actual spread at the actual studio. No stock photos or AI here!)

We all want to spend more time shooting and less time worrying about whether we're charging enough. That's why we're gathering here: to share what's already working for us, and to ask for help in the areas where we're still figuring it out.

Over Dinner We'll Discuss Topics Like:

  • Is it noble, or naive, to keep your prices low for "accessibility"?
  • Does raising your prices change the kind of work you get to do?
  • If your photography helps someone (a family, a business), do you owe it to them to keep it affordable?
  • What do we fear more: being broke, or being seen as greedy?
  • Who gets to decide what your photography is worth: you, the client, or the market?
  • Would you rather be underpaid or overrated?
  • What's the real difference between being a photographer and running a photography business?
