About Dr. Marc Elieson

Dr. Marc Elieson, MD, MBA, FACP, FHM is a hospital medicine specialist, a photographer, and the owner of Temple Star Studios and Temple Star Storage in Temple, TX. He is affiliated with Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Hillcrest in Waco.

Marc has been a photographer since “the film days,” but with the advent of digital photography, his passion for creating compelling and interesting images really took off, sometimes capturing as many 80,000 images a year. Photography assignments have taken him from remote Alaska, to the Himalayas, to the hot streets of Cairo and even the bottom of the ocean to capture a coral spawn.

Over the years, Marc’s professional photography work has been published in several formats - newspaper, magazine, billboards, and has even been recognized twice by National Geographic. His photography interests are varied but always contain a few common themes: movement, a story, or a celebration.

In 2024, Marc relocated his studio and opened it to the public. He is a passionate educator and strongly believes it’s more fun to share. Temple Star Studios was his answer to helping other photographers have access to professional studio spaces, expensive gear at affordable rates and finds joy in helping other photographers gain confidence and launch their careers. 

Marc routinely blocks time in the studio for community photography programs as well as camera and lighting workshops.
