3 photographers. 4 hours. Professional models. You'll finally understand how to get the shots that used to make you feel like a fraud.
Then you try it, point your camera, and it looks... flat. You know something's wrong but you don't know how to fix it.
So you stick to what's safe. Golden hour. Window light. Outdoor locations. And when a client asks for something different? A studio headshot, a fitness shoot, anything with flash? You make an excuse.
4 hours of guided shooting in our studio with professional models. Show yourself you can do anything you see online.
You'll stop floating through shoots. You'll understand why light does what it does and how to make it do what you want.
You'll walk away confident you're not winging it anymore.
With only 3 students, you get real time with your camera, not 10 minutes crammed in while everyone watches.
Models who know how to hit marks and take direction. They won't judge your learning curve.
Real photos YOU shot that day. Add them to your portfolio. Use them to land new clients.
BONUS hour. Redeem within 60 days. Get one on one time with your instructor. Or book clients and make money.
These are the comprehensive lighting and posing guides. We don't just give these out to anyone.
After you apply, Marc's assistant calls you for 15 minutes to learn what shots intimidate you most.
He'd see a photo with dramatic shadows and perfect rim light and have no idea how to recreate it. He watched photographers with half his eye get twice his bookings because they could shoot with flash.
It took him 15 years to figure out what he now teaches in 4 hours. He's been featured by National Geographic twice. He built a photography business profitable enough to open Temple Star Studios.
He's here to give you what he wishes someone had given him.
"Studio lighting has always been something I wanted to master. I left with a new confidence in using strobes, softboxes, and reflectors to create clean, consistent, and intentional results in every shot."
"I've been shooting for 20 years and taken many workshops. Marc's is the first one where I left with skills I could actually reproduce. He breaks down techniques so they're easy to understand."
"The studio is a beautifully curated space and Marc is a true master of light. He does an incredible job making sure your experience is successful."

First hour: hands-on discussion and exercises to build your understanding of studio lighting. Why modifiers work the way they do. How to read light. The fundamentals that make everything else click.
Next 3 hours: shooting a professional model in at least 4 different setups including headshots, fashion, fitness, and color gels. You're behind the camera, not watching from the sidelines.
It really just depends on what you struggle with.
There's no easy answer for this question. The class may be too little or too much help for you depending on what you strugle with. We tailor the class to your needs. And the price will reflect those needs. But once we understand all those different details, we can go over all the options we have for our students like you.
Because you need actual shooting time, not 10 minutes crammed in while 15 people watch.
With 3 people, you get 45+ minutes behind the camera. You can ask questions without feeling rushed. Marc can give you real feedback, not surface-level tips.
If you don't make the cut this month, we'll notify you about future classes.
Good. That's who this is for.
Most students are natural light photographers who've avoided studio work because it felt intimidating. The first hour is specifically designed to build your foundation before you start shooting.
The only requirement: you should have made at least $1,000 from photography. This ensures everyone in the class is serious about their business.
Your camera and a lens (a 50mm or 85mm works great). That's it.
All lighting equipment is provided: strobes, softboxes, reflectors, color gels. You'll learn how to use gear you might eventually want to buy, without having to buy it first.
3 photographers per class. First come first serve. Marc's assistant will reach out to see if the class is a right fit for your skill level.
